- If you consult the grade posting website.
you will see all of your course scores - all 4 exams, wildcard total (WC), telescope observing (TO), constellation lab (CON), and any extra credit (EC/Lab2). Some things to note:
- There were 11 wildcard assignments, counting the course evaluation, for a maximum of 10 wildcard points (basically one missed wildcard was forgiven).
- Telescope observing will show 6 points if you completed it before the bonus credit deadline, 5 points afterward.
- If you did a paper lab instead of the constellation lab for your second lab assignment you will see 5 points in the "extra credit column"
- You will get your course grades via ISIS when they become available. Point totals are computed according to the formula laid out in the course syllabus. The point totals are converted to letter grades (including +'s and -'s) in such a way that the grade distribution for the class is consistent from semester to semester. Typically this means that letter grade assignment is slightly more strict than the 90, 80, 70, 60 = A, B, C, D system. I do take every opportunity to move a borderline grade up to the next category.
