H-band airglow near zenith

Here is a movie (243 kB) of Mike Skrutskie (left) and Joe Adams testing the 2MASS protoype camera on Kitt Peak before a long night of hard work.
Zenith 6/7/96: (Many contain the transit of the Galactic Plane)

and H-band observations. The time lag between each side-by-side
image is about one minute, while the frame-to-frame time is still 15 sec.
Zenith 6/8/96:
hzen1.mpg (420 frames / 1.75 hrs. This file is
more than 9 MB!!!)
jzen1.mpg (120 frames) Frames 98 - 102 were taken
in H-band. Despite any resemblance to reports of UFO activity in
the area, the rapid bright objects were probably passing
clouds (or possibly atmospheric effects from a thunderstorm along the SE
horizon?).
hzen2.mpg (240 frames) Waves galore!
kszen.mpg (13 frames, 30 sec per frame) There
is a 15 minute discontinuity in the middle here.
